Itinerary

  • Your Bhutan adventure begins as you land at Bagdogra Airport. From here, we ’ll drive towards Jaigaon, the Indian town bordering Bhutan. At the Pedestrian Terminal, our team will assist you in smoothly crossing into Bhutan and entering Phuentsholing—your gateway to the Land of the Thunder Dragon.
  • Upon arrival at your hotel in Phuentsholing If you’re up for a short walk we recommend visiting Zangtopelri Lhakhang, a serene temple located in the heart of town.
  • In the evening, during dinner, we ’ll officially welcome you with a special celebratory cake and offer you a local Bhutanese wine to mark the beginning of this beautiful journey on a joyful note. After dinner, join the group for an entertaining karaoke session at Samsara Club (drinks at the club are not included).
  • Overnight stay: Phuentsholing.
  • Must try Café: Kizom Café and Mountain Café.
  • After breakfast, get your bags packed and ready.
  • Once immigration is complete, begin your scenic drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s charming capital.
  • Stop at Gedu Stupa (Eight Dharma Kaya Stupas) and enjoy a peaceful break at the beautiful hilltop stupa.
  • Enjoy a delicious lunch en route, surrounded by the serene countryside.
  • Visit Wangkha Waterfalls and admire the cascading waters—perfect for photos and relaxing in nature.
  • Proceed to Chuzom to witness the stunning confluence of the Paro and Thimphu rivers with traditional Bhutanese chortens.
  • Reach Thimphu and explore the vibrant Clock Tower and lively local streets at your own pace.
  • Overnight stay at Thimphu.
  • In the evening, experience Thimphu nightlife at Mojo Park or Space 34 with live music and dancing.
  • After breakfast, depart from Thimphu for a full day excursion to Punakha.
  • Stop at Dochula Pass (3,988 m) and admire the 108 chortens along with breathtaking panoramic Himalayan views.
  • Visit Chimi Lhakhang, also known as the Fertility Temple, and take a short scenic hike to this spiritually significant hilltop site.
  • Explore Punakha Dzong, Bhutan’s most iconic fortress, beautifully located at the confluence of two rivers.
  • Walk across the Punakha Suspension Bridge, one of the longest in Bhutan, offering stunning river valley views and great photo opportunities.
  • By evening, return to Thimphu and check in for your overnight stay.
  • Optional Activity (Pay on the Spot): River rafting on a 10 km stretch featuring 10 rapids, lasting approximately one hour and suitable for beginners.
  • Optional Activity: Day excursion to Punakha Bike Ride (self-ride, only for experienced riders; Himalayan bikes only, no scooters).
  • Please confirm bike ride bookings at the time of trip confirmation, as on-arrival arrangements will not be possible.
  • After breakfast, explore the cultural heart of Thimphu before proceeding to Paro.
  • Visit Buddha Dordenma (Buddha Point), one of the tallest seated Buddha statues in the world.
  • Experience Bhutanese culture at Simply Bhutan Museum, a living museum offering traditional activities, dance, and local spirit tasting.
  • Stop at the Takin Preservation Centre to see Bhutan’s unique national animal.
  • Visit Thangthong Dewachen Dupthop Nunnery, a serene hilltop monastery run by Buddhist nuns.
  • Explore the Bhutan Postal Museum and learn about the country’s fascinating postal history and iconic stamps.
  • In the evening, drive to Paro and visit the majestic Rinpung Dzong, a perfect spot for memorable photographs.
  • Option to try traditional Bhutanese attire for an authentic photo experience.
  • Overnight stay at Paro.
  • Start your day early with a hearty breakfast and prepare for one of the most memorable experiences of your Bhutan journey.
  • Begin the iconic Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest) hike, Bhutan’s most sacred site, dramatically perched 3,000 feet above the Paro Valley.
  • Trek through lush pine forests and rhododendron groves while enjoying breathtaking panoramic views along the trail.
  • Reach Tiger’s Nest Monastery and experience a rewarding blend of spiritual fulfillment and personal achievement.
  • Receive a Tiger’s Nest Hike Completion Certificate to celebrate this remarkable accomplishment.
  • Optional Activity (Pay on the Spot): Traditional Bhutanese Hot Stone Bath, an ancient therapy known to relieve muscle fatigue and promote deep relaxation.
  • Spend the evening at leisure—explore the local Paro market for souvenirs and handicrafts or relax at your hotel.
  • Overnight stay at Paro.
  • After breakfast, pack your luggage and begin your journey back to Phuentsholing.
  • Stop at the Paro Airport Viewpoint and enjoy panoramic views of one of the world’s most unique airports.
  • Visit Tamchog Iron Bridge (Tamchog Zam), a historic iron chain bridge built by a revered Tibetan saint and a great photography spot.
  • Take a peaceful riverside break at Issuna along the Paro River, surrounded by mountains and natural beauty.
  • Arrive in Phuentsholing and enjoy free time to explore local markets and shop for handicrafts and souvenirs.
  • In the evening, gather for a farewell meet-up to share stories and celebrate the wonderful memories of the Bhutan journey.
  • Overnight stay at Phuentsholing.
  • Optional Activity: Paro Helicopter Ride (subject to availability). If at least 6 members are interested, enjoy a scenic helicopter ride over Paro Valley. Cost: ₹12,000 per ride (shared among participants).
  • Begin your final morning in Bhutan with a relaxed breakfast at your hotel in Phuentsholing.
  • After breakfast, bid farewell to Bhutan’s warm hospitality and unforgettable experiences.
  • Meet your driver and proceed towards Bagdogra Airport for your onward journey.
  • Enjoy the scenic drive while reflecting on the places explored, people met, and memorable moments shared during the trip.
  • Reach Bagdogra Airport and continue your journey home with beautiful memories of Bhutan.

Exclusion

  • Airfare or Train Fare – to and from Bagdogra (IXB).
  • Lunch & Beverages – any meals or drinks not mentioned in the inclusions.
  • Extra Vehicle Usage – any travel beyond the fixed itinerary.
  • Vehicle Timing – 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Point-to-point sightseeing only (not on disposal basis).
  • Optional Activities – such as hot stone baths, rafting, or bike rides (direct payment basis).
  • Entry Fees – to monasteries, museums, monuments, or parks.
  • Unscheduled Transfers – any transportation not listed in the itinerary.
  • Force Majeure Expenses – costs due to circumstances beyond control such as flight delays or cancellations, weather disruptions, accidents or medical emergencies, riots, strikes, or natural calamities (to be borne directly by the traveler).
  • Anything not mentioned in the “What’s Included” section.
